Hand Painted CasesBy Sidequest Foundry

From first idea to next journey

It starts with
a conversation.

You don't need a finished design. Just something you'd like to make yours.

01 / THE IDEA

Tell us your idea.

Choose one of our existing designs, or share a theme, a colour or something you love.

02 / THE DETAILS

Work it out together.

We'll discuss your case, the artwork and what's practical before agreeing the details.

03 / THE DRAWING

Made by hand.

We draw your design directly onto the case using acrylic paint markers.

04 / THE NEXT CHAPTER

Take something different.

We'll agree how the finished case gets back to you as part of the conversation.

A few things you might be wondering.

Can I choose a design I have seen here?

Yes — choose up to two in the enquiry form, one for each side. Each piece is drawn individually, so we'll talk through your choices and any changes you'd like.

Can I bring a completely different idea?

Of course. Share a theme, some colours or something you love. We'll work out what is possible together.

Do I need to have a suitcase already?

Tell us if you have one. We'll discuss the surface, the case and what will work before agreeing anything. We use Primark ribbed four-wheel hard-shell cases as our base cases.

Which sizes can I ask about?

Extra large, Large and Hand luggage. The hand-luggage case measures 54 × 34.5 × 20 cm; check those dimensions against your airline’s allowance. We will confirm the details of other sizes together.

How much will it cost?

We haven't set a fixed price list. The optional budget question helps us understand interest and expectations; it isn't a quote. We'll discuss the artwork and costs before anything is agreed.

Can I request a particular date?

Yes. Tell us the date you have in mind and we'll discuss what's practical. Entering a date doesn't reserve it. We'll also agree collection, return or delivery together.

How is the artwork made?

Every design is hand drawn directly onto the case using acrylic paint markers. The linework follows the shell, with individual details and differences from one piece to the next.
